Introducing The Vance Loafer
We wanted to do something a little different here. Create a new loafer silhouette that stays true to our commitment to comfort while introducing a more formal design to the D+D collection.
Enter the Vance Loafer. A celebration of traditional shoemaking, they're designed in-house by our team and handmade in Europe.
The process is something to shout about. Inspired by slim European loafers, our team sketched sole outlines, side profiles and cross-sections to guide the making of the last – which is carefully measured and refined before a single piece of leather is cut.
From there, the Italian leather upper is stretched and tacked in a traditional lasting process, shaping the shoe with a lower, sleeker profile than anything we've made before.
Completing the shoe is a leather sole – a first for our loafers. Prefabricated by hand, it has a TPU heel for durability. Underfoot, a printed in-sock carries our signature artwork and takes the pressure out of each step.
